Pat Ogden on Resolving Childhood Trauma
The body’s intelligence is largely an untapped resource in psychotherapy, yet the story told by the “somatic narrative” — gesture, posture, prosody, facial expressions, eye gaze, and movement — is arguably more significant than the story told by the words.
The language of the body communicates implicit meanings and reveals the legacy of trauma and of early or forgotten dynamics with attachment figures.
About Pat Ogden

The language of the body communicates implicit meanings and reveals the legacy of trauma and of early or forgotten dynamics with attachment figures. To omit the body as a target of therapeutic action is an unfortunate oversight that deprives clients of a vital avenue of self-knowledge and change.

We are a small family owned agency serving clients in Arizona with complex trauma. The majority of our referrals are young children. We emphasize trauma-informed approaches, somatic experiencing, self-regulation and transparency with clients and care givers being active participants. We would value a training presentation from you on approaches to resolving childhood trauma. I know that you are busy and we are a local organization but we appreciate any opportunity to work and learn from your years of experience. I look forward to your contact.
