How many more reminders do we need?

January 2015: European researchers report that a brisk 20 minute walk each day should be enough to reduce an individual’s risk of early death.

This prospective study with a large sample size of over 334,000 European men and women found that for all weight groups substantial health benefits (i.e.longer lives) can be achieved through small increases in physical activity, and this benefit is particularly available to those currently doing very little. Thus supporting accumulating evidence that even short periods of daily exercise can substantially increase longevity. View the full study here.
